Merchant users
Merchant users are the merchant's customers in Enad.
This guide preserves published Enad setup and compatibility guidance. Enad app is authoritative for current controls. Use generated API/OpenAPI reference and the Event catalog for exact fields, payloads, authentication, and delivery behavior; examples and operational limits below are compatibility guidance until attached to those contracts.
Merchant users are the merchant's customers in Enad, including shoppers and B2B contacts. They are distinct from Enad Admin users.

In Enad Admin
The Merchant users area covers:
- Merchant user records.
- Organisations.
- Customer groups.
- Custom roles.
A merchant user typically has an email address and a phone number, plus a market, store group, language, status, and address. Merchant users can belong to organisations and can carry attributes.
External systems can store identifiers on the merchant user, such as Voyado, Klaviyo, or Shopify IDs.
Matching in integrations
Shopify, Klaviyo, and Voyado include a User lookup strategy. It controls whether Enad matches a merchant user by email, phone number, or both when syncing with that integration.
Email and phone data should stay consistent in Enad and the connected system. Matching on both gives Enad two ways to find the same merchant user.
