Use Relations when the job is about product-to-product relationships and the relation types that classify them.

Relation type operations own listing, reads, creation, updates, and deletion for available relationship classes. Product relation operations own app-wide reads, product-scoped reads, relation reads, relation creation, product attachment, product removal, and relation deletion.

Use Products when product data changes. Use Relations when the product stays the same but its relationship to other products changes.
